Been roaming around the Trading Post and have noticed that the seller often requests the buyer or interested parties to "PM" him. Could anyone explain this term to me?

Because bots aren't programmed to do that. We had a wave a spam many times before and it was only on the forum, not through pm. That's because of the 3 post rule
