If a lv 7 base had 50881(max defense) how much attack would you need to cap it roughly?

Somewhere around 15 to 20 times that number. Remember that they can buff the defense, as well.

at ~12x defense you start hitting caps on things. So in this case about 611k attack. with all the current buffs (konqul but not including the ally) ~278.5k unbuffed attack with the ally it is down to 270.5k
