as the title above, is it normal at rank 400+ spamming arti to get badge?

Normal, no, but yes it happens. I occasionally get spammed by rank 1100+'s for a red badge, with no prior history, alerts, etc (I'm rank 872). They do it to save energy on the disable. The fiction that arti spamming is there to give the little guys a chance is one of those white lies they teach you in the academy...

Artis are there to be used. If it gives someone an advantage it would be foolish not to use them. The only time I get annoyed by them is when someone covers me in artifacts but still won't attack me.

LOL! I've been known to do that at times for that exact reaction, no less. Sometimes, the reward isn't telling someone you hate them but showing them just how much. Though you are correct. That is annoying.

Well when they do that to me they either get disabled again or zeroed, it depends how much energy and time manips I have.

i do it if i even suspect the person is online, to go for that quickER kill. it usually looks like this..
tap, oh shields are down, attack regularly if their defence isnt 20K+

OR

tap, shields are down but a buff or two is still running (yes i know how long each are on for and dont care if its the last hour of a crux amp or not), debuff to hell, and drop in about 10 attacks or so...
im not really saving energy, i used as much debuffing them, but meh, ive got a lot to burn.

Sometimes those ships deserve it though so I don't lose any sleep at night.
