After playing 1 year, still does not understand that "Invasion Defense"

Planet defense = invasion defense?
planet defense* (%) + I) + invasion defense = invasiondefense?

Can someone explain? thanks!

Normal Planet Defense(after bonus)+Invasion Defence (after bonus) = Total Invasion Defense

To get an idea of how invasion defense effects your invasion chance in comparison to normal defense, you can use my invasion calculator:

Basically, the only differences are:
1) Invasion Defence is only applied in the invasion
2) EDIT: Legion bonuses DO include the legion bonus, but are still immune to Ion Storms. This is wrong in the calculator at the moment, but will be fixed soon. Thanks Ferrus.

Really? I didn't think it was. Ahh, will have to fix that on the calculator, should it be confirmed.

In conclusion is a crap, so? If there are structures q give 1200 defense and are also "invasion defense"

Ok, here's how the whole thing works...

Planet Defense affects the damage done while you are depopulating a planet to make it ready for invasion.
Invasion Defense (Lazuli Pylons, Council Base, Soldier Outpost, etc.) only comes into play when the Invade button is pressed.
What is generally referred to somewhat inaccurately as "Invasion Defense" here in the forum is the TOTAL that is used for the Invasion Chance calculation. It is ( Defense + Attack + Invasion-Only Defense ) * Legion Bonus.
