Math shows it to be 56.

Wait, am I missing something in how to calculate it. My arti output from before the Philtery was 6741, it is now 11769. That is over a 74% increase.

Yup, you are missing Dan math.

1^56 = 74% increase

Ah, did the math for a formula, we are getting 1% added to the previous total with each of the 1%'s, so to calculate it you take 1.01^number of Philtery x beginning production.
1.01^56 x 6741 in this case which gives 11769.
So if anyone wants to calculate the number of active Philtery on at any time take (ln(new production) - ln(old production)) / ln(1.01)
this will work only if you know what your production was before you had any Philtery on it.

Prismation #Prismatic X624

I just added the Philtery and I am only getting 1% extra AP so about 160 (Oh boy 19800 CTP for 162 AP...)

Is this only for the "first" connection or a bug ?

EDIT: 10 minutes later I see another 1% is added on my ressources when mousing over. That is still only 2%.

Captain Clueless strikes again !!

read the fracking description of the ability. it's included in Spock's post #1 in this topic, but here it is again:

Quote:
Prismatic Philtery(ability): Boosts planet production by 1% ON each prismatic planet that has a philtery. This bonus stacks. Lasts 3 days. Costs 500 energy.

did your prismatic have a philtery before today ??

Post subject:  Re: Seven-Year Medal - Destiny Discovered

No I just added it yesterday.

Another issue I am having is that even though others are connecting I only get the extra production if I go check the planet ressources again and again. Does this mean we have to click on our Prismatic non-stop for 3 entire days ?

You really should try to be less hostile and step off your pedestal, Senator. I make no personnal attacks on you so it is quite sad you have to brintg me down to feel better about yourself. Some therapy might work wonders for that superiority complex of yours.

an easy way to stop being called out for being clueless ? STOP BEING CLUELESS ! or at least stop posting without scrolling thru the previous posts in a topic. if something is obscure or hasn't come up often, a 'what is going on' post is perfectly legitimate, but are MULTIPLE instances of previous expressions of concern about this non.existant problem with the philtery.

I would assume that if it was used before someone else got the Pliltery that they would not get the buff until I used mine again. My planet is showing (2) 1% buffs when I hover over the Artifact tooltip.

It should be applied based on when each person clicks it. But if I clicked mine before you got your Philtery, then it would apply it to my planet and not yours. You got yours the next morning and it got applied to both my planet and yours. When Noctua clicks his tomorrow morning, he will only have have his buff on his, but you and I will both get his on ours as well. So I would have 3%, you would have 2%, and Noctua would have 1%. The next time I click mine, you and I will have 3% and Noctua will have 2%.

The buff is tied to each prismatic planet but only applied to planets that have a Philtery at the time the buff is activated. No idea if this is "working as intended."

now, your second 'issue' about buffs not taking effect - that is a definitely a bit more obscure. that non.effect effect happens for pretty much all planet buffs .. daily upkeep events .. activated abilities .. effects triggered by planet scans .. basically the planet database does not reset until you 'observe' the planet by clicking on it. it's not new or unusual, just not mentioned very often (and just a slight advantage to those who notice it and take appropriate steps to make sure it doesn't affect them).

i have been surprised multiple times when looking at an enemy planet that still has a blockade effect and when i governance probe it, find out that the owner is still active. a -60% planet production debuff just because you didn't bother to click thru the planet link after downing the blockade NPC ? that's just careless.

The problem is that people come to the forum looking for help and instead get insulted. Whats wrong with politely pointing someone in the right direction ? It costs you nothing and Its rewarding to be thanked for help. This forum is supposed to be neutral territory where even hated enemies should still conduct themselves with a modicum of decorum.

i have happily provided explanations for this 'issue' to legion members who are not forum regulars. however, CP is a REGULAR forum user - as such i expect him to use a wee bit of common sense (canucks are generally known for having some) and do a bit of scrolling up in an appropriate topic or wiki page before posting something clueless. it took me 2 minutes to find the posts that i quoted.

Huh, I didn't realize that! Will bear that in mind for the future.

Prismatic X615 now connected with Philtery

However, question:

Why is my philtery producing only 1%?

My understanding is that if the effect stacks, 1% for each philtery in the galaxy, then there would be a number of people, lets say at least 5, with a philtery (i know it has to be a lot more than this) then that should give a 5% boost.

I also realise however that my understanding is more than likely incorrect.

If anyone can enlighten me on this that would be appreciated.
