correct (repeating self) +10% decks does not mean +10% upkeep... depends on how that space is used... keep in mind that size vs upkeep on researched modules is an exponential curve

the method to change races/professions still applies regardless of whether you're talking about the initial 6 races or the unlockables...
....just with the unlockables you have to do certain missions first, and use the pact you get at the end of the last mission in the series for that race to become available to you when you're changing
and spiky heads are cool... look at Goku in DragonBall Z

OK but back on the original question, so "random" (its prolly based on some order) 10% of decks the modules are rendered disabled in that case ? If it's the ones last put on, just put on large stuff like scan/cloak and let it be rendered useless. Yes, one person got the hint for ppl > 20 scan, 40 GP could buy you the ability to avoid assassins, once your build is almost complete. I'm curious if anyone is functioning that way (overdecked).

if i remember when i did it, ALL special (non-uninstallable) modules are disabled (show NONE) regardless of whether you're 1 deck over or 550 decks over
by the way... the cheaper way to drop below 20 scan would be uninstall every scan module you can (including genetarr energy modules) and get hit with 1 or 2 flares (depending on how many missions you've fully completed)

Yeah but that's only like 15m. Not a good solution either.

hmm... pay 40GP for an effect lasting an undetermined length of time (if you can fill enough deck spaces with non-scan modules) or give someone 2 flares for every 15 minutes?

It's not undetermined, it's if you have a set build once you get it to work you don't touch it.
