I see it more as an artifact structure than a research structure.

I totally called it! When we were discussing vote options, I said the main reason to leave it as it is was because of exclusive trade. And now we have a trade based race with exclusive trade abilities. East galaxy trade company here I come!
Note: sadly, without excavator the race is not worth being. I'm going to be then long enough to upgrade my three trelltith planets, and get my scan bonus. technically it isn't even worth upgrading the truth world's, but I enjoy eeking out every point I can from them.

Shoulda saved the Ventar. I voted to save it. Everyone else should have. We possibly could have gotten a new ally.

I like it, couple weeks/months reduction for improved output after is nice.
1 suggestion make the guard profession take 20% less damage from geminis too as it stands its very inferior too xecti.

I did the math for how long it would take me to recoup the AP loss from not being Excavator vs the gain from a 5% structure.
For the 6 credit structure, if I put it on a planet that produced 4k AP, it would take 195 days to make back the AP that I lost from not being an Excavator for *three days.*
If I put those things on three planets, it would take about *two years* for them to make back the AP that I lost earning the Uldrinian Trade Credits.
My AP/hr (as Excavator) is 135k - so basically, if you're low level, this a solid race to choose. If your AP is even remotely high, it's a horrible, horrible choice.

While I agree - This race is NOT a good choice (doing it anyway because I enjoy the trade mechanic) - surely each planet takes 195 days to recoup the losses of 3 days loss each.. i.e the 195 days for all of them start at the end of the change and are paid off simultaneously. Why, i bet if you did it on a 5k planet it would take a mere 130 days to pay off Out of curiosity, how long does it take a colonized, x16 toxic mining planet to pay itself off for you toaster?

Shouldn't it take 195 days no matter how many you put them on? You spent 3 times as long putting them on planets, but they're giving you 3 times as much.

You're right, I realized that as I was falling asleep last night. They'd all be paying for themselves simultaneously. It'd take 195 days plus however long you spent earning the credits, so each one would be a little staggered. Like you said, I'll probably spend a little while as Uldrinian for fun, but when I first saw the buildings, I was thinking of doing something like Litheor and hitting every good planet of mine with them. That I will definitely *not* do. And I don't know, probably some horrible amount of time - I haven't made a toxic in a long time, although once I get Solynia I might.

You have to buy them from a market, so yeah they go to your cargo.

They're going to get their goodies, maybe max out the module, then get the heck out. This isn't a race that you stay with for years like Konqul or Talth are.
