Can anyone tell me more about the profession of Zolazin Sabotuer?
- How much energy does it cost to use your ability?
- How long is the cool down period?
- What types of buildings are susceptible and which are immune?

Pretty sure that only Researchable shields and minefields are the only ones able to be sabbed but not completely sure

10 nrg, pop has to be under 100 and recently attacked, 8 hr cooldown. Only researchable buildings are subject to being destroyed.

i am one also. its a profession that marks you out as the ultimate team player...you get the sab ability, sure - but you lose out on any personal buffs the other jobs give you. zolazin hacker is the selfish way to play the race...sab is the option that helps the legion. imho we are very undervalued until its time to take that vl gaia

yeah, we're very valuable because if a legion has 2 or three we can take a planet attack or defense down by like 5k.

also, if a legion with a base that's lvl 3 or higher has at least 3 sabs, you can use the Krionite Minefield trap for 1 ability point...
Krionite Minefield [ Trap - 1 Day ] When applied, the next ship to attack the base will be dealt damage equal to 50% of its maximum hull + shield. Costs: 1 Ability Points Base Level: 3+ 3+ Saboteur Professions (Loyal Members)

not to mention the Cyborg DataChannel Boosts base research output by 2% for each loyal Vygoid and Zolazin member in your legion. Lasts 24 hours.

Well, I'm already sort of considered an ultimate team player. You see, I asked if we should make a recruitment thread when I first joined this new Legion of four other players, and then I got no response for a few days, so I started one anyway, and five weeks later we're 920% of our previous size, the larger legions are starting to take notice, and this morning I was just promoted to Co-Leader.
Anyway, my Profession is already Spy, so I get to double that bonus by becoming a Zolazin, and simply exchange my Vygoid bonus for the Saboteur's ability, which I think is fine once I've achieved many of my early research goals, particularly if it'll help me acquire some stellar research colonies. Besides, I've yet to begin The Zolazin Pursuit, because I decided to first get myself the Genetarr Transmitters; meanwhile, the weekly missions keep tempting me off course.
Anyway, thanks for all the replies everybody, I'm pretty sure this is the direction I'd like to head, maybe not soon, but I'll get there.

honestly, the three best professions in the game are these (not necessarily in order) Zolazin Saboteur Taltherian Excavator Vygoid Excavator Saboteurs mentioned for every reason already said, but also because if you ever need money, you can always ask people if they want to pay you to sabotage a planet for them Taltherian because of the fact that artifacts are a long term thing game wise, research will only go so far. a good example of what I am talking about is viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10238and vygoid because it is good to help newer players get an edge up on everyone around their rank

One thing that's easy to overlook in being a sabbie is that when you use your ability, it leaves a targetting track-back link behind in the planet owner's newsfile. Something to keep in mind.

Drannik get the sab profession too let us not forget the genetarr, the mind influence can be useful vs npc's and is another helpful race

I'd say Drannik is far superior to Genetarr. For now I'm looking at the Zolazin chain, thinking that I really need to do that so I can switch to Sabateur and get easy money. The problem is I generally do not use cloak - relying on strong tech and a Savage (although it's rather outdated) rep. It would mean a change in my play style, and I would begin hacking if everyone didn't have QFTs - that's what daunts me about hacking. It looks like a null fuse per badge, and a TM per badge if I want to pull them at any rate.
