I noticed that planetary shields skips from 750 to 1200, but minefields go from 750 to 1000 then to 1200.
how does that make any sense?

this ppens alot. shields go 25-50-100-200-450-750-1200. minefields go 25-50-75-100-150-200-250-350-450-650-750-1000-1200.
probably a couple of mistakes as that is simply off of the top of my head. my best guess is that Dan did the minefield and then decided he didn't want to do as many shields. i can't really say though - there are simply less.
