It tells me i have not preformed anuff scans, what am i suppose to scan and how?

Scanning refers to Planetary scanning that you can perform in the 'Planets' tab. The tutorial will show you how.
As for the mission, there was mistakenly a small scan requirement on the mission that has been removed. (The Zolazin are here, there is no need to scan them)
