This just does not make sense. The target had no sensors mounted and by definition the cloaking devices are ineffective.

If this is the case, then I want to be under quantum overload all the time. It should be a huge disadvantage.

It is an incredible disadvantage, there is always a chance that you will fail no matter how one sided the hack is. The RNG goddess screwed you on this one, it happens.

There is always a chance for critical failure. I'm the only person in the game to get mass-hacked by every person from the top of every leaderboard at the same time. It could have been awesome.... though it wasn't.

Yeah, getting screwed by the RNG is my specialty.

However, Quantum Overload should pretty much make that a non possibility. That's my point.

There's a cap or "anti-cap" on either side. considering how small the chance is in the first place, it is sort of ridiculous for the cap to be nearly equivalent.

edit: nobody knows the numbers, and I'm the only person with a sample. I didn't document it. You can't see plain failed hacks against you. I actually got a sample on the offensive side and realized how worthless hacking, and mass-hacking were. I used to adopted the ideals of "plasticity" in terms of hacking and being hacked by only defending my better planets; it actually worked. The side effects were quite undesirable. Unfortunately, one side isn't that much better than the other. Use your planet fluxes wisely.
