think about it this way... the terraforming device adds +25% to the production per hour on each of the three resource types, so you'll want the planet with the most raw (unmodified) production points..
this will usually end up being the biggest planet (mega colossal, then colossal, then very massive, then massive, then very large, then large, then average, then why are you colonizing anything smaller unless you're planning on making a rift)... reason for this is because they have more space, which usually (though not always) equates to more production points
best way to tell for sure is to hover the mouse over the accelerated production numbers.... and it'll give the number of unmodified points as well as +% for the production rate, development bonus, and racial bonus...

I probably know the answer already but did you use GP to finish the mission or did it take you a year to get all the Terraformers?

That takes dedication man. I applaud you. Since it's done I suggest you chuck the other Terraformers at your best planets to make them better.

Had mine in about 6 months. None were bought, and I got 2 QSE's too. Since then about 15 TF's and no more QSE's. Use spare TF's on biggest artifact planets

Darth Flagitious wrote: Use spare TF's on biggest artifact planets I can't agree with this enough. You can use Data Optimizers to boost research, Toxic Purifiers to boost mining. The Terraformers are the only way to boost artifact production outside the Scruuge (if they come back again this holiday season) or being a Taltherian.

I'm rank 350+ and fill my research cap in 5-6hrs but boosting arti production is really hard. Took me about 7000 NPCs and 6 months to get the Dyson planet. Well worth it though. I get over 1k resources from it.

I'm using my terraformers on a small exotic that I'll eventually Rift. It was 8X/3X/VR when I started, and with the Taltherian ability, evened it up to 8X/8X/VR. If I get Data Optimizers I'll toss 'em on, but really more concerned about the arti's/mining. Any terraformer I get I'll dump on the planet until it's 15X, then Rift it so my small exotic becomes mega colossal
