I have a question about the "Mylarai Stripcore Mine", it is a planet structure that gives +4 minerals, and -2 artifacts. My question is, does it take away 2 artifact pts from the "planet" or from your total resourse pool? What i mean for example is, if you put it on a planet that dosn't have any artifact buildings on it, will the -2 be negated because there's nothing to take away from, or will it take the 2 away from your total resources?

If this structure doesn't take away from your total resources, then it seems to me to be an awesome structure to put on mining only planets =)

Yeah, it's a local effect only, it won't go out of it's way to find something to pull those -2 artifact from. they're perfect for volcanics and toxics.

If the planet doesn't have any arti structures on it then the -2 does absolutely nothing. As you said, its great for mining only planets.
