hey i just started yesterday and have been reading in here, just had a question.....

i see decks are important, so is it possible to say buy 10 Ship-Bot
Adds 2 decks to your ship when used???

that is if i had enough to buy them?

it's possible but.... trust me,.. you'll hate yourself in a few weeks for wasting that much money
Don't EVER buy ship-bots... they're way overpriced compared to other rank-point equivalents...

you'll get enough decks in time... just put your rank points there...

Its possible to buy Ship-bots from the artifact market for 24 GP each. Definitely not worth it. As you rank up, you gain Rank Points that you can use to add decks to your ship. Be cautious though. The maximum damage your ship receives during combat is based on your decks so don't add unnecessary decks. Only add them when you have something new to install, leaving no "empty" decks. Later on, you'll want to have a high Artifact production from your planets and you'll get plenty of ship-bots when you collect your artifact points.

on the other side of the spectrum.... you should almost (almost) never put rank points in cargo... unless you're needing the space that badly...

and remember... artifact points are your friend... that's your source of unlimited rank points (as long as you're pulling artifacts when points are over 4000, or after lvl 80 over 20000)

i dont think i started right, is it still fixable or should i start over?

You're fine where you are. Put your rank points into Decks as you need them. Only add enough decks to support new tech modules. If that means saving your points for a few ranks, do that. Unused decks are a waste of space (literally) and only unnecessarily increase your damage cap. You can also put a few here and there into tactical officers and engineers.
