Post subject:  Alien Star Charts artifact
Hey all,

I just got "Alien Star Charts" artifact, and it took 10,000 artifact points from my artifact bar. However I remember when I saw it on the Wiki a couple weeks ago, it was supposedly within 1000 - 2000 artifact points range. Its not share-able.

What do I do with this artifact? I know it reveals a planet, but does it reveal good planets or crappy ones? Do I hold onto it until I've maxed out the best scanner tech's and run down my scanning to 5% considering the new rule on hacking and level caps, thus being unable to hack new planet locations effectively?

It pulls a random planet that is in the game that you have not scanned already. So it could be good it might not.

I used a Star Charts artifact this morning and got a very abundant research Gas Giant which i've now colonised, so it was a pretty good reward. I'm crossing my fingers for you that you'll get a good one too. :)

It must be Alien Star Charts artifact day. I got one this morning (seemed to cost a lot more artifact points than the wiki says, I wish I was paying more attention. I got a very large ocean planet with Research: Extremely Rich. I was happy. I just need to wait 4 more levels before I can actually colonize it. I guess I could pay to lose some of the dead weight I have, just hoping I will find a use for the bad early choices.
