What is a reccomended ship build to make me invisible from the battle tab?

To be as invisible as possible on the Battle Tab, you need to stuff as much cloak as possible on your ship.

This, however, is not something I would recommend. Think of it this way...

  • If you have high cloak, who can see you?
    Those with high scan.
  • How do you get high scan?
    You need decks because scanners are comparatively huge.
  • Who has the deckspace?
    Higher ranks who will find you at the bottom of their badge range.
  • Why is that bad?
    Because they can pummel you easily.
  • What can you do to retaliate?
    Not much.

If you don't PvP yourself, you can also use a calming amp and/or halcyon trap. The calming amp will prevent you from showing up on the BT for 2 hours I think, and the halcyon trap will prevent them from doing any damage to you once it has been tripped.

Early on (200-?) the heavy, killer ships won't carry much scan. If you can get your cloak above the amount of scan given by all non-researched scanners unlocked up to your rank then you'll probably be fine... probably.

pvpers don't carry much scan, so put on all the best possible cloak modules on your ship and you should be safe.

I can see no downside in piling cloak. Logic as follows:
Piling scan would make u ONLY show up on the BT of high rankers, so if you are ever targetted, it's by someone uber. That is true.
However, it does NOT increase your chance of being found on their BT. This means you are not getting more attacks from high rankers than you do from before.
At the same time, putting up a "defence" by utilizing ur decks with other modules instead of cloak will probably NOT make a difference in the out come of an attack from an high ranker who actully have the luxury of equipping scans.

Conclusion? there is no down side, but it would appear kinda scary as you are only getting pummeled by high rankers

Although, on a side note... it might be better to be disabled by a low rank than high rank because low ranks have lower chance of successfully raiding you... So if you have a low disable limit.... you might wanna be "weak" about it so you protect urself from powerful raiders by allowing yourself to be zeroed by lowbies..... err... that's about it.... That doesn't happen much

It sounds like the question is about disappearing off the battle tab entirely. Perhaps I'm wrong.

If that's the purpose of the question then the calming amps thing is the best option. I din't know if it's possible to totally cloak a person off the battle tab.
