Ok, noob here and only been playing for like an hour. However, I was already smart enough to come here and read. I saw one post where the game designer (I think) talked about the importance of cloaking right off the bat. People were complaing about bullying and repeated attacks at low lvl, so I figured I would get busy hiding. Yet, in my quick hour of searching, I haven't found anyway to build, buy, or steal a cloak. Can someone help me? I want to disappear my ship and my lonely barren planet! (It's mine and I will love it. Through care and nurturing, it will soon reward me with an abundance of crops... or so goes the noob logic!) |

Research tab-> Stealth systems. Research till you get some modules, then install them on your ship. Also, cloak will not help if your name is in other people's ship's log. To avoid this, avoid disabling people's ship or invading peoples planet as this will make your name comes up in their ship's log. Note that cloaking is not a foolproof way to stay hidden all the time as people with high scanning can still find you in battle tab |

i did research stealth tab... it says something about em field... is it the next lvl of research after that? |

Researching EM will give you EM panels (cloak) once you done at least 1 level, go ship-> devices -> install new device. There should be modules with cloak if research is done |

and as you continue to research that tree you will get better and more cloaking/size efficient modules, but don't forget to put research in other places! |

hum, so now i have to wait for my research bar to fill back up to 590? and the install devises, that is just for the ship? how do i cloak planet? |

You can cloak your planet in the following ways: * Construct cloaking satellites on them (these will unlock through continued cloaking research) * Use a 'Void Shell' artifact on your planet * If you have cloaking modules installed, guarding your planet will give it the same bonus as your ship As you can tell, cloaking is not something you are able to fully use right away, but you'll have lots of fun with it when its available. |

You don't have to wait for research bar to hit 590, you can research on it as soon as you got research points. Say it needs 500 and you got only 50. Researching it will deduct 50 points, so it would show you would need 450 research points now only. |
