Post subject: | PvP Build |
Hello all, I am new to this game and after much forum/wiki searching I have chosen to PvP for the foreseeable future. I have chosen Aerlen Fixer as my Race/Profession but I am still confused as the best way to proceed spending my rank points. The plan I have chosen to follow so far (only level 6 right now) is to spend 3 points on decks, 1 on tactical officers every level, and alternate the last point between engineers and helmsmen. Is this a wise plan, or will I get raped because I am not putting all my points into decks? The desired outcome is that I am proficient at disabling and raiding, decent at hacking, and tough to kill. I've read that I can achieve the disabling/raiding goal by following the small ship build but I've also read that I will get torn apart farther down the road using that play style so I've decided against it. I have joined a legion, Steel Talons, and have been happy there for the hour and seven minutes that I've been a part of them. Any feedback/advice would be much appreciated. If I have forgotten to include any pertinent information let me know and I will provide it. Thanks in advance. Protozoa TL;DR - Aerlen Fixer pvp build - how should I proceed? |

Put 4 points into decks, 1 into tac. officers. You can get android helmsmen for defense, just get your artifact up. And btw, swing on round to Storm of Baal if you'd like good protection and advice ![]() |

Just remember, the key to low level pvp'ing is hull and guns. And if you're really clever, you'll focus on getting your proteans while it's easy (i.e. low levels). I personally prefer engineers over TO's. You need the energy to get all your killing and raiding in. And while Blue is right about getting your arti production up, I remember the pull is hard. Trying to decide between research and artifacts. Good luck. |

Protozoa, your a member of the Talon faction being a part of steel talons. Ask one of your officers or Leaders for the link to the faction chat. There we will be glad to answer any questions you have. My first suggestion is do not put rank points into helmsmen. The best suggestion for the moment is 4 to decks and 1 to tactical. But get on our chat and you will have a great group to ask questions all day long. Hope to see you there soon. |
