Rather a question of possibility. Alerting it then leaving the legion removes it from other legion members' scans, but does it work if you alert it and the other member leaves so that they can attack it and invade? I know Abandoning's the easiest, but if it can be done via invade, it would be preferred.

if you alert it and the other person leaves the legion, they no longer have access to the planet
(permission to view the planet is linked through the legion)

if they alert it and leave the legion, you no longer have access to view the planet
(permission to view the planet stays with the owner)


in other words, there is no easy way to give someone a planet you currently have without abandoning and losing everything that's on it (including perma-effects)

Arr, thanks for the pointer. We should be able to use planet abilities (Enrich, Urbanize and Erudition) on legion mate's planets. I don't see how it could be abused - There's no way around the timer.

The timer on racial abilities is tied to the player, not the planet. If people could enrich planets they don't own, it would be easy enough to create a pack of multi's with Kronyn or Mylarai (Taltherian not so much due to mission requirements) races. Heck, create a whole legion of them, step out of your own legion for a day, have all the multi's enrich, bingo instant 15x/??/15x planet ready to go.

actually, despite the 84.5K energy required for kronyn (and however much is required for mylarai), i'm surprised we don't see any legions of just kronyn and mylarai multis

a bunch of single multis spread across the galaxy...
each month, turn out 1-2 planet per account.
other than the first month where there is nothing...

Harder to catch that way~ K&M multis would be quite valueable so the extra care is not wasted~
