I'm rank 92 with these stats

Size Class: Battleship
Space: 412 / 417
Attack: 311
Defense: 293
Scan: 232
Cloak: 262
Cargo: 52.4 / 200

My research levels are:
Quantum Disassembly 0/3
X Conduit 0/3
Disruption Field 0/3
Stealth Field 0/3
Q-Phased Plating 0/3
Phase Shifting 2/3
Sub-Dimentional Sensors 0/3
Astro Binding 0/1
Xeno-Diplomacy 0/1

Resource outputs:
Mineral = 632
Artifact = 292
Research = 1300

I generally do missions or npc, so any ideas or input please~

Well, if you're doing just missions and NPCs, you're doing just fine. That being said, you should work on some better defense and definitely get your cargo deck space up.

It's dual purpose. It will help protect you against random PvP attacks and some NPCs pack a punch! If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. Have a nice day. :)

I disagree with what's being said here with such low decks attack is your biggest key, it's what kills the npc's meaning more kills better energy/xp ratio's faster ranking, the only downside is you may get disabled a bit easier and you will spend a little more money on repairing but when it's only 1-2m credits to repairs does it really matter?

Oh and as no body said already you need to up your arti production later in game is all about arti production try and get it to about double your mining if your struggling to keep up with research I'd suggest joining a legion with a level 5-6 base it should keep you up to date.

When i go up against an npc that I can't deal with on my usual attack value, I just shuffle my cloak and scan modules into cargo and install attack/defences :) (I have 2billion credits, plus I stockpile ku incase I get in a credit pinch)

the next few planets I colonize/invade are definitly going to be artifact planets.
