I have been playing GL for a month or two now and am interested in getting into the trade market. I have been to the trading post and looked around and done some searching using the tools, but so far I haven't seen anything on exactly how the trade occurs.

So, let's assume that I have posted a trade and found someone who wants what I have offerred. Do I have to friend them, or join their legion in order to send them the stuff?

And what is the protocol? Do I send my stuff first and wait for them to send back, or do they send their stuff first and then I send mine back?

Ok first off when you find someone to trade with you do have to friend them unless they are in your legion or a legion yours has a trade pact with. Once you friend them you have to select how many you want to give the other guy of any type of arti's or minerals. Then you click the "give" button. Once you do it will pull up a list of names. There will be three tabs on the list one with your legions players in it. One with your FB friends in it. And one with all the players that are in your legions Trade pacts legions. You search the right list till you find the name or if you want to do it faster you can hit "ctrl" "f" and search for them. then you just click send. There is no real method of who sends when or what ever just as long as you both do send. If the other player doesn't send and has cheated you then that other player will never trade again because of the bad rep you can and should give him. So it is all ways smart to hold up your end of the deal. Note though that I have made thousands of trades and have never yet been cheated so I wouldn't really worry about it to much.
