Post subject:  I'm weak, apparently
Am I missing something, or am I just weak compared to the enemy players in range? I keep trying to beat them, but I end up either zeroing my own hull or running out of energy. I even look for lower level, with 0 of their own kills, or no weapons, and I'm still losing? I have my whole ship full of weapons and defenses (as many as I can fit)?

Well... post your stats or ur ship modules and some of the rankings of the enemy players.

You have no hull... Right there is probably your biggest problem. Defense is a waste if you don't have any hull to defend.

Well, I guess I'll sacrifice the reactor for hull, then? I don't have alot of space to work with. Thanks

Well I strongly suggest you keep reserching cannons, def and hull since you like to pvp. Not sure how much hull you got but I think its around 90-120.
If I were you at your lvl would not even pvp.. I would dump most of my reserch on energy and rank up with decks till at least to lvl 60 and concentrate on scaning some good planets.
After that pvp a lot so you can get ur red badges fast and save them for your mark 3's domi cannons at rank 100.

join a legion with good research production and dump at least a week worth into weapons

that's the least u need~~
ion or plasma will probably do u good service for until u farm out doms

You could probably even take off a bit of defense for hull, defense isn't worth very much with that few decks and low research, too inefficient.

i think pvp at lower level is easier... i would recommand research into weapons first.. so u can make quick kills.. once u get 40 kills get a dom cannon everything will become much easier. then pause weapon research and invest in hull shields..

In the beginning Hull hull hull then weapons due to the limit of energy the smaller ships have. keep your ship build smaller in the beginning contrary to popular demand to put everything into deck as quickly as possible....Reason the damage cap...... But don't keep it up and a transition will be done when you grow in rank and you will have to grow your decks due to small build ship is not a lasting solution.

Lets not forget that scanning helps you're ship land critical hits, I love it when I'm winning 100 damage to me and 220 to him then suddenly I do a few critical hits and suddenly im doing 400+ damage

chosen a bad race if you want to pvp...and yeah, research hull, weapons. get your dominion cannons as well.
