Does disabling the standard enemy types (not other players) improve your combat reputation?

And its COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS so please please please don't get hung up on it. Build a good ship and everything else will take care of itself.

Actually, it comes in real handy for me when I'm recruiting. It lets me know who's taking the game seriously. Heh! It also helps me determine who the warmonger psychopaths are!

Or who the farmers are... Just because they don't pvp doesn't mean they don't take the game seriously.

alot of people use this as a factor when badge hunting. lower the rep more likely your ship will get looked at first. if they like what they see.... u dead son. but other then spending more credits on more frequent disables (to repair) it really means nothing more then bragging rights... kinda like exotica right now.

I take everything into account but the rep gives me a quick idea, at a glance. of just what type of fighter I'm looking at. Don't get it twisted though. I've accepted ships with a laughable Combat Rep into my legion before. However, when I look at their stats and they've been disabled almost a 1000 with about close to 500 kills, that too tells me something about the player.
