I just completed the first Stryll Infiltration set (80x) and got the Stryll Transponder, a nice little toy but massive upkeep! At this point that upkeep is a lot to handle, so I'm wondering if I sold this transponder and did the second Stryll Infiltration set would I be able to get it back and install it when it's pertinent? Whether I have it installed or not now, it's a lot of credits daily to hold onto! |

What rank are you? I ask as the upkeep seems very small on that item. |

Ya it is very small I say hold on to it for now once you get past say rank 30 it will become a lot easer. If you need to add another great mining world to your Empire just to pay for that item it is well worth it to keep. No if you sell it now you will never get that one back you will most likely get the second on just not till much later on. If you need help paying for it look me up and add me as a friend. I'm at jacobgerb@yahoo.com. I will send you the minerals you need to pay for it for a while till you are at a good rank to do it your self. Let me know. Thanks |

Okay, I guess if it's the only one then I'll hold onto it. I'm currently Rank 18 which is why I feel the burn a bit more, don't have the safety net of credits that I'd like yet, largely as the Stryll Infiltrator mission is great for experience (4400 each completion!) but no credits. Thanks for the offer, but I'll see if I can't manage my upkeep as it is. <-- Builder spec, so that helps. |

I will say, the long term view is this: Anytime you can get a module that allows you to get more than max (IE, in this case, you can have 5 purchased scanners, this is like getting a bonus of 2 extra scanners), you should do it. If you are worried about it, hold it in the cargo bay (as an artifact) until you can afford to install it. Once you install it, there is nothing you can do. You will hit a point were these modules are even more useful. Plus, these bonus modules tend to be pretty powerful when you look at them per size. As a scanner alone, this is a 2.00 scan/deck, making it slightly better than the Wideband Scanner - Mark III (1.937 scan/deck). I would also suggest checking out the wiki as many of the questions you might have will be answered there (such as what is the upkeep on an item, size, power, etc). |
