can you tell me what the difference between invasion and population defense?

population=HP
planetary defense= stat that reduces damage taken by planet
invasion defense=stat that reduces the chance of a successful invasion

nice thanks. do invasions work like raiding in that the crew is the invasion strength? how much does one outpost help?

I honestly have no idea on either of those, but i do speculate that Invasion defense works like normal defense but instead of 100 attack Vrs 50 defense= 73 damage its 100 attack Vrs 50 invasion defense=73% chance of success.

Invasion offense is based on the invading ship's total attack output (and any modules that boost its invasion abilities).

Invasion defense is based on the planet's combined attack and defense. A structure with invasion defense will not provide any help during normal attacks (it wont prevent any population loss), but it will have the same effect as a normal defensive structure during invasions.

it seems that its expensive for the cost. i was expecting something more exotic since it required favor...bad planet night last night all big planets tonight all small and tiny oh well
