the changes were meant to make exotica change hands more often , instead of being controlled by the same guys for 10 months
i think it's great because now i might actually pay more attention to exotica , instead of being pissed at having a planet i can't purge

the def/att is not given to the player, just the planet
and the stats decrease even though it has guards

it's not a bonus it a debuff, every day a -5% get added to attackso first day 100% defence attack, then 95%, then 90% and so on it makes it easier to get it.

now, if only they made a change to it so that the following things would occur(note both would need to be put in or it will be exploited): First, ships that are guarding exotica are not visible on the battle tab nor from alerts (I understand people won't like this so much, but it would be needed for the second part not to be exploited) Second, the % debuff applies to the ships that are engaged through the planet interface.

Very cool i will guard it when im off line, the log on unguarded it to pvp npc then hide back on it so i can never be attacked by people when im off line. AND by leaving it to do things the ablity will reset so im all ways at max atk/def. YUP cant be abused there.

You would be easily targeted through the planet, I don't quite understand your statement. itsSoulPLayAgain wrote: AND by leaving it to do things the ablity will reset so im all ways at max atk/def.
The ability would only reset if Exotica changes hands, so as soon as you return to guard it your atk/def would be lowered by whatever % the penalty is on the planet.

Right now it's pretty sweet - the debuff hoses the defenses of the planet, so it's easy to get the population down. Then, play whack-a-mole with the fools that guard it.

The 10% production bonus is pretty sweet as well, especially considering how easy it's been to hold exotica (even with no defense).
