Post subject:  how are capacities determined?

ive been wondering at how exactly your mineral/arti/research capacities are determined, whether its done by rank, or by planets owned (possibly type)
MY
mineral is 32,500
arti is 73,000 (8K extra from GP storage buildings)
res is 38,700, and it seems to go up by about 200-500 each rank

ive been mainly grabbing up arti planets and am at 5K an hour, res, is 3500 and minerals is 4K.
my rank is 258.

if anyone can enlighten me it would be appreciated. im looking to min/max my losses/gains. after 10 hours my mining is capped out, arti is under, and im wondering if im just playing cat and mouse trying to up my arti production to reach my cap on all 3 res, evenly.

Minerals = 500 * number of planets
Artifacts = 1000 * number of planets
Research = 150 (I think) * rank

Mineral capacity = Planets Occupied x500
Artifact capacity = Planets Occupied x1000
Research capacity = Rank x150

Not a problem. You know when me and Ferrus give the exact same info... It's correct... lol

Leave TU planets alone... We're very protective...
