Post subject:  AUCTION TEMPLATE for Arties / Planets with basic rules.

Due to the horrible state of auctions I have made these templates. If all auctioneers used them, tradepost would be a much easier place. Else just copy and paste, change details. Last request to auctioneers is to change title when auction is over by changing title by adding CLOSED infront of original title.

  • Invasion Defense: Rough estimate, may vary 500 in either way or %5. Which ever would conceal the identity of the planet best. You dont want to buy enemy planet thats bricked.
  • You may ask the auctioneer via PM the type of planet if they do not specify it. Planets can be made generic, especially in case of enemy planets to conceal their identity

Auction General Rules:
  • I the Auctioneer will adhere to the rules set below according to specifications in this post, regarding time period, bid increments,PM's,currency value. Only post made in this thread will be eligible. No post on facebook groups will be accepted, only post in this thread.

1. I think it would be better to classify gaia, exotic, demon etc planets as "generic" because at least at the current state of the game, they do not differ from each other in any way(except the production rate/size which will be stated clearly otherwise) And the less info revealed, the better.
2. I believe there should be two estimates of invasion def: a current and a minimal. Frankly, a plasma planet with say 10 OBs with high legion bonus would have a very high ID, but as it would probably have a low population, it can be easily knocked down and sabbed. And that just might be an easier target than another planet with a lower ID but mainly based on passives, artifacts etc. At the same time, instead of +/-500, I would say +/-500 or 5%, whichever gives bigger margin. Because, for example, 127k ID would probably be a fairly "unique" value for a planet of certain production and size(and possibly type). There would be few player/legion who would tackle such a high ID planet, but it just might happen.
3. I believe another entry is required: Additional value. On the open auction, it should be simply listed as a yes/no option. In case of no, it's just as is and open bid. In case of yes, after the open auction closes, the seller would PM say the top 5 bidders and clearly state the extra value and only those 5 may continue to bid on the planet on the same thread for another 24 hours, increasing their bid according to the additional value. Things that would qualify for additional value: analyze event(ofc... some of them might not count for much), high passive stat, especially cloak, rare artifacts, especially things like omni base, hoveroid etc. For a lesser planet, the additional value items just might be worth more than the planet itself.

With those changes/addition, I believe the templete will be able to serve just about any planet sale, as opposed to just a majority

Thanx for the feedback. I have included generic planets for enemy occupied and made 5% addition to defense.

I understand current invasion def, but what is minimal. If you can clearly state that, then can add description. Else other auctioneers might have some confusion about it.

The open auction option is great idea. It does complicate things a bit and most of guys doing planet trades fail at just even trying to do simple bids.

Dont you think that exstra value items should just be mentioned in first place, if planet has passive abilities or nice module on it. Dragging the auction out might loose interest as auction becomes to long. I havent traded enough planets to know how in demand this is.

Thanx for feedback, i hope template catches on cause auctions are a mess. Wonder how some of these guys even organize a event, forget to print where the event is on invite or something :D

minimal ID would be the amount of ID after all sab-able buildings are destroyed, in other words passive(including perma event) and artifacts only.
However, I don't think it should take artifact buff/debuff into consideration as that is not as "stable".
I don't think this is the best way to word it, but I think you can understand what I mean and perhaps word it better.

Some of the extra value would be fairly common, such as zolain anaylzer etc. But frankly those are also the things that don't worth too much. Thou a rough ball park value of passive stats can be given, those won't give away too much and will provide fairly accurate "reading" of its value. However, analyzed events and some truly rare and valueable structures would be rare enough such that listing the specific info might give away the identity of the planet. So i don't think it would be a good idea to list them on public forum directly. Thou I understand dragging out the auction can have negative effects, I can't really think of a better way of minimizing planet detail disclosure(to the "general public" and potentially owner of planet) while providing fair compensation for the extra value. If you can think of a better method, then it's great and we can go with that. If not, then it is up to the seller to make a choice of:
A: just ignore it, possibly lowering the potential payout
B: go through the two-phased sale, possibly losing the interest of some buyers.
C: reveal the detail out-right, risking losing the planet altogether.
