overnight attacks without notifications?

Post subject:  overnight attacks without notifications?
Hi,

So I wake up this morning and find my shield strength down to 11 of 82 and hull strength down to 131 of 135.
Yet nothing in the ships log indicating I was attacked.
last log 5hr 45min ago when I got another research level. (short night of sleep.)

Webguydan what's up with this?

What are the rules about the ship's log. Should I remain logged on at all times? I like to exit all programs and put the PC into sleep mode when I'm away for hours.

Random attacks don't get into the ship log. It only logs when you get disabled.

EDIT: Ship log always work regardless you are on or off.

No lie it was probably me. I knew it didn't notify people if I didn't kill them so a lot of 70+ players I just killed till I weakened there shield a bunch. Think of it as me not killing you totally but getting the exp instead =P.

if hes in the 34-40 range it was prob me.

You WILL get notified of a random attack *if* you put a trap on your ship... Another nice thing about those.

yea... especially if the omicron trap does a raw 400 damage... my ship would spontaneously explode! and you still get the notification. question is, do you get a kill for that kind of disable???

I am SO glad the cost of hull repair has been reduced!
