Issue with Legionbase attacks

Hi people,
I may have a strange issue. I have been playing this game for a good 6-7 months now and enjoyed it. But lately, my gameplay is being "disrupted" by continuous attacks on my Legion Base. Over the course of the first 6 months, my base was attacked once. Sure, no problem, part of the game. Repair and move on. But in the last 8 days, my base has been targetted and disabled 5 times, including 2 times in 3 days by the same Legion! And that, quite frankly, is quite absurd. And to make it even worse, my base has only 4 members (me, my fianceé and 2 sons) in it, and arent the highest ranks, yet the Legions that attacked us all have 50+ members with none below rank 100!
Isnt there some kind of rule against this type of (for a lack of a better term) farming?
I find it rather weird that out of all the Legion bases that are in this game, my little one gets targetted so much all of a sudden.

Don't repair it right after it is disabled. I believe you can wait a week before it does it either on its own or makes you do it. Pretty simple way to keep from being disabled right away again.

He does have a point though. It seems some bases are just scanned more offten then others and there is nothing their members can do about it. I think that there should be a new mod. type added to the game. Something that gives cloak. Makeing a base like 5% harder to scan and lets you add maybe 8 of them. Now maybe everyone would add this or maybe they would rather have their base built up strong just in case it does get found. Just a thought that I think will help out in cases like these. If I see players like this idea here I may add it to the suggestion page. lol

The bases that come up when you scan are determined at random. Unless you have an incredible amount of luck, you're going to spend a lot of red badges to find a specific base. Trust me on that. Our battle group keeps track of bases we've hit and rate their difficulty. If we find one that is nice and easy to chew on, we'll lock it. Every time we find it. It's not personal. It's not an effort to cause any kind of war. It's about efficient energy usage. The fact is, when a legion scans your base and they see a member count of 4, they are going to assume its an easy base to disable. And apparently it is. Best advice I can give you is beef up your base as best you can and get more legion members. While I applaud you for just doing the family thing, if you are concerned about your base getting disabled repeatedly, you might have to forego that "strategy."

I'd totally trade all the weapons on the base for 40% cloaking. Darth Flagitious wrote: The bases that come up when you scan are determined at random. No one is targeting you or looking for you but when you are found, you are yummy. 4 people is not enough to have a decent base defense. Even if you picked what I considered the best options, you will only have an 8% attack buff, 12% aux repair, 40% hull buff and a 20% defense buff. Without knowing your legion, I'd imagine you have a level 3 or 4 base, not extended so you already have pretty minimal defense and hull installed as it is. If I were to scan a base like this (back when we were looking for level 3 and 4, you would probably be considered an 'always hit'.

what is ur base lv? when did it lv up last? Frankly, unless ur base lv is 1 or even 2, the fact that ur base was only locked on once for an entire half year is pure luck. It is just as unlikely as being locked 5 times in 8 days, the latter is probably more likely tbh On average, most bases would get poked about once a month or so at least, thou depending on the base, it might or might not be disabled. Certain lvl bases get poked more often than others. So you are still below par, chillax, nothing u can do about rotten luck. It's extremely difficult to hunt for a specific base in term of red badges, so unless you've done something horrible, no one is gunning for u~ just RNG But i would advice you merge into a more proper legion. Because once ur base reaches lv 4, it will likely be added to most hunter legion's KoS list, as it's likely a ez target. So for both safety and production sake, merging into a bigger legion is a much better long term plan. Playing as a family will only get you so far before the world closes in on ya~ if you do plan on merging, please consider Outer Limits 2

My base is level 3. Can you actually imagine how hard it is/was to completely upgrade a base with only 4 people? It isnt that easy to be honest.
But reading the replies (thank you guys for them!), it just seems that because I prefer to stick with my family in my base, I am just out of luck? It just means that all those bigger bases can just pick us out and roll up on us? That isnt really right...
Cant there be some sort of rule that says that you cant be attacked within a week or something, kind of like with the pvp badging? You can only hit the same player once every 24 hours for a badge, shouldnt a base be more protected? Just a thought.
Maybe I am just a little whiner, but I am sure that some of can understand my frustration?

I can, but it's partially your own look out. You can take your family with you to a stronger legion and have alot more protection, whilst sticking together.

Not saying that it is the wrong choice, but any consequnce of the choice is yours alone and you cannot blame that on anyone. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You cant expect the world to give u a 2nd cake for free, can u?

Maybe I am just a little whiner, but I am sure that some of can understand my frustration? You only get badges off the same person every 12 hours. With bases you can't lock the same base twice in a row so that means they could get silvers off of you every 16 hours so from that aspect it's better than badging.

as a member of a small legion, i can sympathize with the original poster's concern. with fewer people, you have less organizational hassle, and you can get potentially better rewards than splitting the pie with a bunch more people. long-term, that won't fly, but in the short term, and if you only play casually, i think it's fine. that said, even with limited resources, there are ways to improve your odds.
like the original poster, our legion's base was very lucky as a lvl 2, only being disabled once. we recently upgraded to lvl 3, and i knew that we couldn't continue to rely on luck. so, i did a massive scan run (+100 planets at rank 72) and sold off a few scans for ctp. with that ctp, i was able to find someone willing to upgrade all of our base buildings to lvl 3. with a massive hull upgrade, our base is not the easiest lvl 3 base to take down.
we've only been locked once so far since moving to lvl 3 (fingers crossed), and still ended up disabled (hi S.C.I.O.N.). however, if i hadn't been distracted by playing dominion online on another computer, i might have been able to save the base with a timely repair with only 20 minutes of lock-time to go. so, having a properly-outfitted base makes a big difference.

lol, thanks for the shout out to us, but there are very few level 3 bases that we cant take down ALONE.. we very rarely need assistance.
