I have a Quantum Hydro-Meliorator in my artifacts. I want to use it on an Oceanic (very large) with research-extremly rich.
I have already researched just past mega structures for planetary construction in the tree. How come I can't use this artifact yet? What will unlock it? This planet is currently my second best planet. Is it even worthwhile to cultivate this planet? Thanks guys in advance. You answered my last question really quick :)

That's a pretty decent planet for "newbies."

Are you trying to use the Meliorator from the Structures tab or Actions-Use Planet Artifact? It won't be listed in the Structures tab, you would need to use it from the Actions tab by clicking the Use Planet Artifact button and scrolling through your list.

Thanks so much. I was trying to use it from the artifacts list where the "use" button was grayed out. I have now built this on the planet but had to demolish a robotics lab (+2) and replace that with a research station (+1) and a defense bunker. Any hints about how to increase my research production next? Or how do I increase space on the planet?

Well, the only way to really increase the space is to use a Quasi-Spatial Expander which is a super rare reward from a rare NPC or you can buy them on the Artifact Market. I wouldn't recommend doing it though.

However, as you research the planet structures (next to the bottom on the research page) your structures will become more space-efficient. My recommendation is to get yourself into a legion that has their base set up for research disbursement. At low levels, the daily payout from a decent size base will really give your tech a jump start.

Ok, is that the only artifact that increases space on a planet? What does an adaptive spire do then?

Well, sorta... You can also buy a Reality Transducer and get lucky when you use it and get Moons, but that's still not a good idea for a planet like that.

Adaptive Spire
