I have this sort of dilemma...what is the perfect balance between relays and the max amount of energy you can have? My most advanced relay is the wave conduit, and I have 3 Mark IV antimatter reactors. I can't get FATHER modules, and I have two Genetar Transmitters. I have 339 energy, but I would like more energy, and a quicker recharge time. What do you guys recommend?

invest more(if not all) research into energy and get some more mineral production unless your UBER rich for your rank.

Well that is already what I do. I don't know if I'm uber rich, but I'm level 62, almost 63, and have around 5-6 millions credits most of the time.

Perfect balance for me = Best Reactors and Relays you can have.

FATHER: Do free surveys until you can get FATHER. Even if you can get one, it is still better than none.

Recommend research energy until you get as far as you want and get the amount of energy and charge time as makes you happy. If you are like me, you will never be happy with your recharge rate!

I'm a rank 47 and have around 9-10 mill....but i hardly have anything to use it on(only quantam and wave conduits)(oh and weapons defence and scan and cloak of corse...>_<)

so yeah i think advancing in energy is the best(while sometimes upgradeing other stuff to make sure you dont implode everytime you get attacked.....)
but yeah mass energy is good right?....like i get full energy in about 5 hours......so yeah if you can afford them upgrade your energy....

(i love the people who get rich like me because we got lucky and found a kurenite oh and have some good planets to keep up the money...)(spelling?)
BUT i still hate my recharge time because i now have not enough energy but short wait time ARGH!

I spent a lot of time in the beginning just selling modules when I needed the space but I'm learning that its better to unistall them and let them suffer their damage to save cash. You just need cargo space for that issue.

With conduits, I would tinker with turning some on, some off, having 1, having 3, etc. etc. In the end, I found that the faster I generate energy... The better I felt. So Im maxed out on conduits. The end. What I do nowadays, especially being in the action these past few days, is ill shut down cores, even my dranniks, to gain space for more launchers and defense modules but leave the conduits on to replenish faster. I dont need a huge max energy while im online, and with the new energy bar tool, i can look before going to bed to see if my energy is going to max out too fast. (No point wasting sleep time not regenerating).

But its of paramount importance to take off any atk/def modules you need for space, take off your conduits, and load up all your cores when you're about to level or plan to use GP or cubes. (If you do the math and plan it right, you can even start sooner by using neurals and implants to level AND enjoy more xp with the fresh energy). To slash your energy received by ignoring or forgetting this would be a shame. (And trust me, we've all done it...) The worst is when its not your fault! i.e. A teammate finishes off an elite and you receive your xp reward when you werent ready for it, leveling you up with nothing!

Conduits do cost a lot as they get up there. Losing 60 energy per, also sucks. But thats why if you want to be hard'core, (no pun intended) then a person who wants to max conduits needs to possess the space to max out on cores. Without cores, my conduits reduce me to zero energy, hehehe.

Just my two cents on energy management. Some nights, I actually use a sticky and adhere right on my laptop screen that reads 'TURN OFF CONDUITS!' when I know the next time I log on, I'll have regenerated enough energy to level.

Hm. I think that I will stick with my current strategy of having the max number of reactors, and just 2 of the most advanced relays that I can have. I'm working on getting singularity cores, and I'm glad I got three of the four Genetarr transmitters. (Thank webguydan for those) I work the most on my power resources. My weapons are awful, my defenses and shields are so, so, and I have a wideband scanner just cause I like looking at people's stuff. I'm at least proud I have a light graviton shearer, and am working on spacial thrusters after I get singularity cores.
