When do you start seeing the Drannik Ballistae?

As the title says, and how much scan do you need?

Because only Elites and Bosses specify when they can be seen, we have to guess on Standard NPCs, but an educated guess for the Drannik Ballistae would be after Rank 120, since that's 60% of Rank 200. Meanwhile, they have no Cloak, so you can find them regardless of your Scan.

They're just random from what I've expierienced. I saw not one for almost the first 350 ranks, then found two or three in a row. (I was still pretty happy though) Just be patient. If you're desperate just plow through a pile of NPCs at a higher rank, and you ought to find one eventually.

Earliest I have heard of someone finding was in the 160s, but they fall off at 600.

I found 3 between lvls 160 and 190. I do a lot of NPC'ing though.
