The trade boards are likely to continue with the same rates of 1ctp:12-14 kur:150-200em, depending on the sellers. GTC is just big rip-off central right now, only people using it really are those who decided to test it out once, those who have no idea of the trade groups, and then there are those who choose to rip off the little guys.

Not really. I'd answer no, but I still agree. There are people who get into bidding wars and do not want to lose. The price ends up running away before they realize it.

Well that's how auctions work.. especially when there is no written foot prints from the buyers for everyone to see..

That's not as good of a plan as you think. This morning I put up 500 CTP for 5B, which is a good deal at less than 10 kurenite each, but I have gotten few bids on it. I suspect that people go for the Lowest PPI auctions and then stick with the auctions they get into, so if you start low then you can get a few bidders locked in. I started too high, even at such a good deal, so nobody's even noticed it. So yeah, starting low is the best way to go.

Bidding does get a bit out of hand, I put somethings in for 10 mill and they ended at 500 mill.

The bids are quiet, then sky-rocket in the last 5 or 6 minutes due to this limited auction slots. That's why I think 24 hour auctions are useless.

Ah- but if you can buy an item in a shop for 10 whatevers- then sell it at auction for 3 or 4 or 5 times that- would you not just keep buying it in the shop and selling it at auction? Anyone who is fool enough to sell ctp at old rate - I will buy as much as you have- because i know where i can sell it for more. Un tapped demand is likely to keep the price high for an extended period

Un tapped demand is likely to keep the price high for an extended period I was merely pointing out that in some cases, the item worth £100 will sell for £1000, but you wouldn't enter the auction expecting that much, and you certainly wouldn't put a reserve of £1000 on it. Although I've seen some exceptionally stupid things on this forum, so I guess it's not all that surprising to see people operating under that mindset
