Hello, my question is, what is your planetary production output, ie. research, artifacts, and minerals per hour. If you can, please include your rank. The reason that I'm asking this is that I'm wondering at higher levels, what you can expect from your planets. Thank you.

I run a more balanced out production than... everyone but here's mine
Minerals 2749 units / hour
Artifacts 3571 points / hour
Research 3585 research / hour

Rank 230

I say focus on Research and Artifact, have some high ranking friends give a few hundred kurenite and you'll be fine for a while. ( Assuming you're low ranked )

Rank 348
Mining - 5623
Artifact - 8376
Research - 5186

As you can see I'm focusing on arti, which I'm trying to improve to 10k in the next two weeks. Mining I am also trying to improve as I want to add a few nice modules to my ship which will greatly increase my upkeep. Research i've left really to stagnate, mostly because I can get android helmsmen from arti pulls and I have enough that with a little bit of patience I can get whatever I want researched fairly easily.

I also ascribe to the balanced resource production
rank 362
Minerals 11213 units / hour
Artifacts 12494 points / hour
Research 13848 research / hour

Lol, I'm only a 15, but i feel insignificant compared to your(answer givers) planetary production outputs. Arti 67/h. mineral 123/h, and research 59/h.

to all things there is a time. I said this a long long time ago on a thread far away.... Take care of your planets first, they are the real source of power in this game. Everything else is semantics. Power reserach planet toech to global meshing and you'll be good for a bit, at least till level 100, after that you're falling by the wayside again

Rank 65:

Minerals 293 units / hour
Artifacts 3776 points / hour
Production: 7758 research / hour

Working on +12's atm and about 6hrs away from Star Lifters. :D

bob is a special case of resetting and retaking his awesome planets back.
but by no means did he get all of them back, he didnt want to wait and alert them all.

myself - just hard work on the planet front.
rank 606
mining 10,275
arti 26,474 -- many many storages for a capacity of 223,000
res 15,155 <---- i probably stopped taking research planets when i was close to around 8 - 10K, the rest is just from android scientists and as secondary production on planets as a result of dual purpose or cloaking artis.

Rank 32:

Research: 1975/hr
Artifact: 146/hr (Will most likely expand soon)
Minerals: 15/hr (purely from bonuses on artifact buildings)

I am currently focused on research, with a nice source of AP, which I am very thankful for having.

I'm not sure if we're all helping him..

Glx, get level 5 structures (Global Meshing) by rank 50 and Gravitonic Construction by rank 110 ( level 8 planet production structures ), as you build more and more efficient structures, your production goes up. Get level 10s ( Stellar Engineering ) by rank 150ish, sooner the better, it's the second best standard production facillity and highly efficient, downside is that it's quite expensive, have some higher ranked players to support you with credits. ( level 12 structures are the highest, star lifting / forging )

Also be VERY picky of what planets you colonise this is crucial, most of the folks above have pretty good planets from GP, invading, trading, luck etc - It's imperative that you research decent scanning technology, go on scan runs to find planets, when on scan runs, install max sensors, uninstall anything that doesnt provide scan power, use any artifact that increases scan power and just scan for planets until it says "very poor" - make sure you have some energy too.

Just a very rough guide to getting good planet productions - also at low ranks, focus on pvp, kill other players etc get them dominion cannons. And - place ALL rank points into decks until you have 1400 decks, ( this may take a while )

Let me also accentuate that artifact is the key to a strong ship. Research becomes useless when you finish the tree, the tech is very long but it is finite. Mining is needed for money.

ill amend the above statement. use MOST artifacts that boost scanning power. save ones that you receive from missions for much much later in the game.
when they can be of the most use for you.

Post subject:  Re: Planetary Production question

Rank 358
Minerals: 5408 units / hour
Artifact: 8094 points / hour <= +12's done tomorrow
Research: 6331 / hour

Post subject:  Re: Planetary Production question

Well, on scan runs, always use these artifacts :

- Stryll Seeker ( if you have one )
- Subspace seeker ( ask for one from member if you don't have one )
- Tachyon Cylinder
- Continuum Beacon

The more planets that are in your database, the harder it is to scan another planet. Using "Star Chart Purgers" to delete those useless redundant planets in your database will increase your chances of successfully scanning another planet. Generally, it's best you conduct a scan run everytime you unlock another full tier of scanners, however, get at least Subspace sensors before commencing scan runs, most of the sensors before are just plain crap.
