I hack a lot., with a pretty good success rate. I have enough blue badges to install a Cipher Bot. It will add 45 to cloak and increase hacking ability by 7%. How else will that affect hacking ability? Will this reduce the probability of getting hit with a Quantum Firewall Trap? Because whenever that happens, I can't hack for another 2 hours unless I use up a Null Fuse, and I don't want to use all those up every time I get hit with the trap.

Or should I hold off and install Decryption Senary-Frame upgrades instead? I will want to eventually install 3 Cipher Bots and 4 Decryption Senary-Frames in addition to my Decryption Quad Frames. I just want to know if I should install a Cipher Bot now, if it will reduce the probability of a Quantum Firewall Trap.

Nope, it won't affect that. If they have the trap on, and you hack them, you WILL trigger the trap.

Get the cipher bots first to make it easier to get the senary-frames.

My thoughts on hacking...

Both scan and cloak are important for a good success rate. Scan affects how much you take and also helps to prevent a counterhack. The hack % the cipher gives you only affects how much you take it doesnt increase your success rate or the chance for a crit hack. How i would ( did ) go about getting the blue badge modules first are:
1. Quadframes (4)
2. Cipher (3)

If you have sufficint medal points to get the upgrades before the ciphers, id do that. No mater what level you are the amount of rp you are going to take is small by comparison to your hourly rate- unless your hacking above your level, but that is the only way to get any true profit out of it.
