I know i have left it a little late but need to start farming reds and yellows for pvp mods. All tips/advise is greatly appreciated, if u need to see anything else plz let me know.

i would recommend not using shields til you have more deck space.
research and max your hull first.
what level buildings are you at?

-As you yourself admitted you really need to go get your yellow and red badge mods as quick as possible.
-You need to start looking for vortul blast phasers, this will take a decent bit of perseverance but they are worth it especially compared to the auto-phasers you have on.
-You only have one surge plexus on, I would recommend getting the other two, if your legion doesn't hit many bases, then I would suggest visiting a active base hunting legion for a few weeks for the extra silvers. I could suggets a few if need be, or you could simply ask around.
-Take off all your sensors apart from one stryll hunt sensor, they are except for scan blitzes, a good for nothing waste of space at your rank, but you want to keep one hunt sensor on to be able to see troop carriers etc.
-Max your hull out, as quickly as possible, it is one of the most important ship stats and really you can't afford to ignore it at all.
-Shields off, all of them, even the rechargers, hull is incredibly more efficient, believe me you will thank me for it.
-Take off all your cloak, every last one, cloak, unless your hacking is the most pointless ship stat of all and certainly not worth the space.
-Take off your BM50, it's not at all space efficient compared to energy nullifiers, so any space you have left after maxing your hull should all go to defense.
-Only put shield back on when you have all your defense installed, which comes after your hull, attack and energy, and only then if you feel it's worth it compared to the increase in damage cap.
