When do we lose Level 3 base scans?

Post subject:  When do we lose Level 3 base scans?
Our legion is very close to upgrading to a level 6 base -- do we lose level 3 base scans at that point? Didn't see anything in the Wiki. Thx

I believe it's level 7 you lose level 3s.

im pretty sure its base level -2 is what your scanable prospects are, could be wrong though I havnt scanned a base in a while

At level 6 you still see level 3 bases.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe Max level you can scan is:

Base level/2 rounded up.

Lose 3s at 7
Lose 4s at 9

didnt the dysonians say they lost 4s when they hit 8?

We can only scan level 5s and above. It's 3 ranks from your own base rank, so 8 can scan 5 as a minimum, 7 can scan 4 as a minimum and so on.

you dont lose level 3 scans at rank 6

This, more or less.Im in a legion with a lvl 7 base and the lowest we can scan is lvl 4.We have lost lvl 3 when we hit lvl 7.Im not 100% sure but i think you lose lvl 4s when your base hits lvl 8, and you will lose lvl 5s when your base will hit lvl 9 and so on.

Your base lvl - 3 = gives u the lowest u can find (not 100% sure on it though).

I heard from an Officer of The Dysonians that they could still scan, although do not lock, Level 4 Bases. It fits with this equation:

MinLvlofBase = (YourBaseLevel / 2), Rounded up.

It's the only equation that works for all levels.

Level 2 = 2 / 2 = 2
Level 3 = 3 / 2 = 1.5 = 2
Level 4 = 4 / 2 = 2
Level 5 = 5 / 2 = 2.5 = 3
Level 6 = 6 / 2 = 3
Level 7 = 7 / 2 = 3.5 = 4
Level 8 = 8 / 2 = 4
Level 9 = 9 / 2 = 4.5 = 5

I see a very nice pattern, that fits with the info I've been given.

With YourBaseLevel - 3, we get the following results:

Level 2 = 2 - 3 = -1
Level 3 = 3 - 3 = 0
Level 4 = 4 - 3 = 1
Level 5 = 5 - 3 = 2 <--- Can't see Level 2's at Level 5. :(
Level 6 = 6 - 3 = 3
Level 7 = 7 - 3 = 4
