Does scanning do anything during combat or should I be uninstalling my scanners for more weapons/shields/hull? Thanks, Sean Powell |

(besides finding planets, of course.) edit - I think scanning also affects what info you see on the ship screens for other players. But I'm not sure about that. |

There is a very small crit chance if your scanning is superior, but it would be difficult to notice. I will be taking a closer look at critical strikes in the near future. |
