I need to find Paul's list of advice for lower ranks...

In general, replace space-inefficient modules with more efficient ones (e.g. the psionic amplifier isn't great unless you're using it to invade planets), increase hull, replace cloak with something like attack or defense

Always install the maximum of what you have researched (e.g. 2 mark III zero point reactors instead of one mark III and one mark II)

What are your production values?

Research and mining needs to go up at least 2 to 3 times, and your artifacts needs to go up about 20 times.

Hey Maraio, you can always ask this stuff in legion as well :)

+1 to chiaroscuro on replacing space-inefficient modules.
+1 to Pikavader on increasing your productions... but bear in mind that they have a very strong ship.
Excellent to aim for, but don't get too despondent that you are so far away.

Max out your hull before adding the large and under-powered phase shift defense - I would swap that out straight away and add hull.

Definitely get your scan research up so you can slap on 5 of the best you have researched and go on a scan blitz.
Finding your own arti planets really is the best way to improve arti production, as arti planets are so rare and always in high demand.

Your current arti production is not great mate... a pass mark target for Rank 100 might be over 1k of each type of production with research and arti first and mining last.
That should quickly shift to arti production but with the benefit of being able to review your medals in legion, we need to kick-start your research for a while.

Planet structures should be a focus as well, +8s at least, as soon as possible, if you haven't already got them.

So we need to get your arti way up, along with research, as your total figure for that is still quite low at around 2.5 Million RP after 243 days.

Don't take any more mining planets until both arti and research increase dramatically, especially your arti - base shipments are never enough by themselves.
For example, our base production is around 16% of my daily arti production, just to give you a rough idea.
Base should never be your main source of production as you move up through the ranks, it should be a tasty extra :)

Try to hack your way to a CypherBot or 3 to replace your inefficient cloaking modules and ice-fishing for yellows to get Protean Armories would be a very good idea as these are very efficient hull modules.
If you ever want to get into hunting red badges, you should get started sooner rather than later.
At lower levels it is still quite easy to turn around your rep, but will get harder as you go.
While rep means little later on, being laughable makes you an instant and obvious BT target, which is never a great thing.

If you still have a Sphere of the New Era, I'd recommend swapping to Konqul Fixer.
Konqul fixer would straight away add 20% to your attack and 30% to your hull - both of these are never a bad thing, especially increasing your hull.
At your level, maxed out hull and as many good weapons as you can strap on is never a bad thing.
If it was me, I would only leave on your Dark Ring Thruster, auto-evasion node and thrust stabilizer and max out hull and weapons, both of which are lacking at the moment.

Hit me up for any credits you need, the mining bonus isn't doing you a lot of good and I have a cargo full of neurals you are always welcome to, if you really feel you need to offset the change from human.
I wouldn't advise it, but they are always there if you want them.

Short summary - increase hull and attack (at the expense of defense), improve planet structures, increase arti a lot, add to research and get some scans done - 44 scans done at Rank 100 is really not good at all, you are wasting the opportunity to get great planets. Sell off every researched weapon, defense and hull you have if you need to and throw on as many scanners as will fit. I will happily bankroll replacing them when you have finished your scan blitz.

I actually advised him to post on the forum, Deigo. On the legion comm, any advice you get given quickly drops off of the comm, on the forum you don't have that issue. Anyways... onto the rate...

The following modules you should probably uninstall:
T.O. Harmonic MegaPulsers x2
Q-Pedd Logic Servo x2
Biomimetic Sealer x4
Psionic Amplifer

Replace these with additional hull modules.

The following modules you should probably sell:
Zero Point Reactor Mk 2 and 3 (Replace with a pair Mk 4s)
EM Adaptive Panels - this'll give you space for the above ^

Human Miner isn't an amazing race, honestly. If you're interested in leveling up, Inergon is likely a better choice (as you'll get more done per rank), but offers less boost in time taken to rank up. Miner is an overall bad profession, and that certainly you should change. Should you wish to stay Human, I'm not sure if they get Excavator. If they do, that'd certainly be worth looking into although isn't going to help you at all for a while until you get a better artifact production. Konqul will be very helpful in PvP though, so that might better. From there you have the choice of Excavator or Fixer.

Can you show us your planet list, starting with the sparsest, then again with the smallest, please? Your productions seem pretty low for your #planets. You should be getting at least 100/hour off of every planet, preferably much closer to 120/planet. If you're colonising good planets and failing to achieve this, then look into better structure research.

Speaking of research, your research tree is very valuable when helping someone improve their ship.

Oh, and Deigo, base production is roughly 3 hours production for me. I kinda question your maths though with the 16% thing, since that means you're pulling ~10k AP


EDIT: Actually, no. If you have found 25 planets, and own 19 of them I'm pretty sure you have some very bad planets taken. You need to scan a lot more. Something like 5% of planets are worth taking.

Sorry Maraio, I love that you've posted on the forums, lots of great advice here and a very handy way to benchmark your progress against other posts.
I just wanted you to know we're always around if you need any help. Very good point TB makes about comm advice being temporary.

And lol TB, naturally you are correct and my rough estimate of my percentages for arti re: base vs hourly production was indeed out.
My apologies, I would have got out the calculator if I knew you'd be around, you rock at the math stuff.

I was a bit surprised to find it was even less than my initial rough guessimate ...assuming I didn't mess up the sums this time around :)

My base arti pull (assuming a nominal 25k/day to account for natural fluctuations) is currently only 13.82 % of my daily production, not 16%.
That percentage is also rounded up to the nearest 100th of a percent :)
My hourly AP is currently 6497 but should increase again in a couple of weeks when I roll out the +12s.
