I have a planet by a person who obviously quit the game on my scan list, it is both empty and invincible so I cannot invade it. Should I get rid of it from my list or can it ever be invaded? It is a great planet which I would love to have and it would be a shame to see it go unused.

Try contacting Dan, I'm sure a guy in my legion had the same thing and Dan took the invincible off it

i think if it's not a mission planet - using Chrono Projection - or whatever the name is - on a 'regular' planet, he might willing to remove the invincibility

Where would you get that idea? He's specifically said to several high profile players that he won't. Why would he do it for some "random low ranker" ? No offense...

well that's a load of crap because I brought it to Dan attention and he did nothing. basically said they would remain that way.

just a random thought - if it's not gamebreaking - the planet in question is obtainable in just regular way, then why not remove the invincibility and allow the scanner to have it? It's just as rare as someone get a random good planet to have a good invincible planet on your scan :)

As he stated above, if Dan did remove the invincibility on a planet before, maybe it's because that reason - not gamebreaking, because the planet is not a mission planet

Mission planets are 15x.
There are more 'gamebreaking' planets being created by players who then make them invincible.
If anything, it would be more likely Dan would remove the invincibility from the mission planets.

I don't know of a single 15xMR Mission Planet. Exotics are 13xMR, Dysons are 28xMR, Rifts add 15 resource levels. If you stumbled across someone's Mission Dyson, it's not exactly a 'small' find.

Actually, I stand corrected, thank you. I thought the Mission exotic made a 15x, but you are right, it is only a 13x, which just goes to further state my point. Now while a 28x dyson would be nice, again most folks who are making rifts are making 40-60x planets.

I wish Dan were more active to answer this. I would imagine that the average rift is about 30x if that. While there are a lot of knowledgeable people in the forums making 35X+ planets, I think there are a ton of people who don't understand how to use it and make poor choices or use their best 15x to make it.

Even unoccupied, it won't let you colonize.

Rifting planets is not a cheap process. I imagine very few people will drop that kind of cash into a planet without first at least making sure they're getting the best bang for their buck. My Rift is only 40xMR Arti which I think is the lower end of the Rift Spectrum.

I think you're wrong because you can't make a 25x very easily. 20 is easy to make, 22 is doable. I think there are a ton of 35x and 37x compared to any others.

40xMR isn't a huge stone throw away from 37xMR. I think most people rift Dysons to 45xMR + Arti. I'm not saying that I've got the lowest rift out there.

Personally I'd love to see these Invincible Planets made colonize-able, but under certain conditions.

  1. They're stripped of their Invincibility and Passive stats.
  2. They're unable to be transformed (Icy -> Oceanic, for example) or made Invincible again.
  3. Any Permanent Effects (Planetary Rings, Large Moons, Subterranean Caverns, etc) are removed.

So basically the you get the Planet with all bonuses removed, and you can't transform it nor make it Invincible again. You'll have a very nice planet, but there's the possibility that it'll be stolen from you.

As for my Rift, it's 38xMR/45xMR/45xMR. I'll never Rift anything that'll be less than 45x Mega Rich Artifact.

This will never happen so stop asking for it...

Most of the mission planets etc where bought with real money and so will never be allowed to be taken just accept that and move on.

IMO mission planets of those who are banned or have reset should be reverted to the planet they were BEFORE they were transformed, i.e. a rifted dyson would go back to a regular dyson, and mission dysons/exotics go back to the metallic/other types of planets they were prior to the transformation. This would at least prevent the rifted nat dysons of resets or banned players from going to waste without creating a load of 26x and 13x invincibles.
