I'm not a new player but I'm curious about planet stealing, I'm going to be taking a very large metallic planet in a few days from a lower ranked player that has very high ranked members in his legion. I've heard other players about holding a planet for around 3 days and then the planet is supposed to disappear from the other persons database or something, is there any validity to this?

No. You'll have to put structures on it to defend or use a Planet Flux (or Temporal Flux Orb, if you've finished The Aeon Moon chain (rank 125)).

EDIT: And you better make sure you're ready; I don't know about the exact situation, but someone took a planet from one of our lower level (in the 90s) earlier today, and we killed the population and had it open for invasion less than a minute after he got online and alerted us.

Yeah, one of our pilots did that today. Landed on a Dysonian planet of all things, and asked help defending it without telling us who he took it from. Didn't go over very well when they got around to reclaiming it. Wasn't even that good a planet!

Yeah, I think some people just don't make good choices.

Lol if I stole a Dysonian planet I'd be killed with one shot probably.

sadly, the minimum is 4 shots... or so they say. it took me 20 shots to kill a level 1 and 1 shot to kill a level 140.

The last time there was a 4-hit-rule was months ago. This is no longer the case. The damage cap is based on decks now.

Well, they may've been low on health or something, I know a fair number of people disable me in one hit, but that's because I'm at < 10% hull from NPC fighting and I'm just waiting to repair.

If your from Storm front then ya we got an alert on one of your players. Looks like he tried to fight back with all the negatives in his actions. Thats impressive that he would at least try to fight back +1 to him for that, but be sure to tell him that that just makes some of our guys want to attack more. I will leave you guys alone and talk to my legion on what happened. If you guys get attacked any more about it just let the attacker know what is happing and he should back off. I know you guys wanted to stay out of this war and we are getting really picky with others attacking our worlds as of late. lol

i dont think he was low on health, i did 560 damage to him. he had no defence and 3 titanium platings, but a 8 heavy ion cannons. he had a bigger ship than me but had crappy research.

Yeah, then he's probably the same as me; doesn't care about people attacking him, just worries about fighting NPCs.

Frankly, there is no point healing up after an NPC blitz if you know that you are going to come back to a message that your ship was disabled by <fill in the blank>. They will get their point no matter what, and it's going to cost you double if you repaired before taking a break.
