Yo! I'm kinda new and was wondering wth does planet sharing do? Like does it give its recources to the rest of my legion?

No, it will temporarily alert the Legion to the location so they can see it; usually you use it on one of your own planets you need help defending, an unoccupied planet that you're not interested in but somebody else might be, or an occupied planet you want help invading or think someone else will want to invade.
