From wiki:
"While installed: Vygoid and Zolazin get double the Energy bonus. "

Was there any change? I thought, that it has to be first installed wihle Vygoid or Zolazin to gain the bonus.

No, it is dependent on your current race like Modulated Xecti Disruptors

Not sure if this helps Flux, but I first installed this as a Zolazin and was getting the extra energy bonus. I am always swapping them in and out and I am now and Genetarr and do not get the bonus anymore

Nope, it always the way it was before...

The bonus only works WHEN you are a zolazin/vygoid. Unlike other modules that install as mark II, these q-pedd always update their energy bonus with your current race... so when you change race ... :D
