I've fielded some PMs about dealing with the Hub-GMU3, Scruuge Base as well as seen some complaints on how they work. As this is a new NPC, I figured I would create something that would help the game.

While it seems simple, people are having trouble with it.

Killing the repair drones gives you about 17% damage; it is easy to drop an additional 3% on the energy Chargers. Once we hit 20% (and the lock icon), share the NPC with your legion. Weaker legions have the option to take out the Energy Charges making it an easier NPC for the rest of the legion to kill.

I disagree. There is no point to hitting the energy charger. Just debuff, kill the nanos and alert. No one touch the energy charger. The buff will already be active and it saves energy locking since you are skipping 6.8% of the damage. The alerter doesn't even need to do a full lock just kill the nanos. Also it is a 5 man elite not 4 so only need 20%.

I agree with Wolfy. The energy charger is a waist of energy. For future NPC's, if Dan makes them like this I would suggest that if there is something like the energy charger on it that it should be a stacked buff on the NPC. Making it much more important to have to take out. Instead of what it is now where you can't even take out the energy charger without triggering its effect then at that point what is the point of taking it out anyways.

And with this elite IF you had stacking +100% defense boosts with the current proc rate by the time you finished with the nanos and the charger it's defense would likely be astronomical due to it's apparent 20% proc rate meaning that on average even hitting at cap you would be fighting the NPC with Defense before debuffs at approximately:

21375 * 2^28( that's 268,435,456 for those who don't math) = 5,737,807,872,000 Defense.

Even at a 10% Proc rate you come up to roughly 14 procs of the effect resulting in: 21375 * 2^14 = 350,208,000 Defense

Assuming you debuff the above with a Sab, Recondite, NFX, and EMP it STILL comes up to 106,375,680 Defense.

Thus making the only real option for 98.3% of the player base to wait out the effect, possibly several times, just to get rid of the nanos and energy charger.

If the buff was stacking and REASONABLY balanced for a stacking effect such as say a 10-20% bonus then it might be feasible.

Well it was an ill considered idea in the first place.

Stacking buff would be better.
Even if it was as is you could wait out the first two or so sets of stackin buffs.
Basically same thig as waiting the hour to alert a pevreon.

Yeah, some of us don't like wasting experience without gaining anything.

The stackable buffs would be pretty manageable, since they only last a couple minutes.

MrSpock's strategy is very good if you have lower Ranks in the legion. I can knock its Defense down to just over 5K with NFX-2, Recondite, DSab, and an EMP.
