I understand why I want to cloak my planets, and I have some now that I don't want to be taken. However I want to get the recipe right.

Start off with 2 Gift of the Voids to take it to 80.
Then add 31 interspacial fold generators to take it to 3180.
Then use Magnetosphere charger 1 to take it to 3553? Or would it go to 3548? Call it 3550 anyway.
Too high to use a second charger!

Same idea - 3 gifts, 30 interspacials. 3120, and the magnetosphere takes it to 3482.

Or 31 interspacials and no voids takes it to 3460 after a magnetosphere

A second magnetosphere can be used at that point... to 3880 or 3861.

After that then relic badges are needed for clandestine revisions to take it up to around 5380... and then you're reliant on stuff on the planet, and %age uplifts...

Have I understood things correctly?

If you are going to do clandestine revisions on the passive cloak anyways I can only suggest the following. 14 IFGs then a Magnetosphere. to bring it to 1590 then 5 more IFGs to bring it to 2090 and a magnetosphere for 2349 after that 4 more IFGs to get to 2749, after that 10 Clandestine revisions to bring the planet to a square 5249 passive cloak(Max Repeatable passive ATM)

After that point Xecti Ensconcing Fields can be used to bring it up to 7649 Passive cloak which I do believe is the current max possible passive cloak an a player constructed planet.

If the planet is NOT an oceanic one of the Hyper Dimensional Anchors from the mylarai chain can be used to avoid the need for the first magnetosphere changing it to Anchor+20IFG+Magneto+4IFG+10CR = 5249

A whole thread on how to really max cloak. Note that there is a debate on whether or not the few point of cloak is worth the extra investment, as max cloak tend to use 1-2 MC or IFG more than a cloak that is often less than 10 points lower.
And to quote myself from the thread, I consider the following to be a better way to prep 5249

highest?
5249?
3749 would be your prep amount, that takes 3012 from before last 2 MC
get end of 2 requires first MC used at 1700, which is 1920. then you want 2nd digit of 1(on top of a existing 2), so you need 2420 before 2nd MC, 2712. then bump to 3012 with 3 more IFG and you get 3012. 2 MC and you get 3749. Then relic it to 5249.
So 17 IFG, MC, 5 IFG, MC, 3 IFG, 2 MC, 6 Clandestine Revisions. Another 2400 if you use Xecti ensconcing field on it, 7649.
Anything else in mind?

The 2 IFG difference is a minor issue, I consider 4 Clandestine Revisions to be more valuable than 2 Magnetospheres, at least that is true for higher level players as CR is a strictly limited supply item(per player per period of time)
And by following the above reverse engineering method, you can prep any amount you want, let it be max with CR or max w/o CR.

Yeah dont waste relic badges on cloak unless you absolutely have to. Omniforges and the ally are much more beneficial than some extra cloak.

28 IFG + 3 magnetospheres = 3892 passive cloak

After this just add a few cloaking % together with some flat cloak structures and you should be well above maximum scan.

You have just saved me 12 relic badges on any planet I feel deserves this treatment in the future. Thank you.

I figured out the method I proposed above after spending about a minute thinking about how to get it to end in 49 and that way was the first I came up with, after that I got bored and stopped trying to find other ways.
