After being granted an audience with the Tej-Sheel, it is clear that their war with the Tej-Brask is far from over. The Tej-Sheel continue to be extremely secretive about their weapon, but try to offer assurances that the danger to %YourRace colonies will be minimal during the war... Daily Mission The Strain of Conflict We've managed to contact a representative from the Tej-Sheel. They were initially reluctant to speak with us, but eventually sent an envoy, Krydul, to answer some questions. See if you can find out more about the weapon... and this war. It should be noted defense adapts to the population while still on the planet. Adding population structures will increase the defense without needing to remove and replace the structure. In addition, using a serum increases it's effect instantly.

It also means that any population reduction(i.e. those effects wearing off/removal of pop structures) lower the Raix Bunker's defenses. It's also non-extractable. It also says: Supports Raix Transformation (Not Yet Available)

I too wonder what Raix transformation is. Right now it's just another relay tower with a wee bit of defense. Not bad for getting an arti planet more efficient, but to a mid level player like me(514) it's not worth the energy.

Not worth it at any rank tbh i do the missions but at 7.6k E for what will effectively be 20 ap production I'm sure everyone would be better of spending the 76k Enegy npcing you'd get a lot more than 200 ap/h lol

So far as not worth it at any rank... can't wait until everyone sees the screenshot Noirpa just posted in our group page. I won't spoil the surprise but I don't think he minds the energy cost for the artifact at all

So someone says the defense adapts to the population on the planet. So I would assume that means if it were being attacked and pop dropped to 1-10, it would basically provide no defense? Whilst I am guessing this has not yet been tested would people agree that is how it would work?

When i used a longevity serum on the planet i placed it on, the def didn't go up until I used a cloning pod to fill the population up so it seems to be set on current population instead of max.

That sucks.

It sounds like as you depopulate a planet, the defense goes down?

Damn, so it just went from neat to garbage. I don't think garbage but not as good. It is pretty easy to get 5k population for almost no space, two vorean items + uldri + astrolab + Affection Disseminator 4.0. With 5k pop, you are still getting 25,000 defense for size one. Throw on a xrp warp Inhibitor and it will take a long time to get that population down with that high defense.

You're right, it does buy you some time in the event of an invasion, but if it doesn't actually defend against the invasion, it's pretty weak. Maybe the 'Raix Transformation' will make it work all the time. In any case, since they're not extractable, mine are going in the cargo hold for now.

Posted in the general forum, but ... Bio-Vap and watch it go down ...
I have 47 Bio-Vaps sitting in my cargo ... used some just to save time.
47 Bio-Vaps is enough to take 1,407,000,000,000,000 population down to 10 ... yes, 1.407 quadrillion population down to 10 in 47 clicks.
Unless you use the art that makes it so you can't use artifacts on the planet, but then again, that's what exotica is like and it trades hands, so at that point you're giving up your ability to keep cloning pod'ing to keep the pop up.
Just some food for thought.
