Just curious if anybody understands the mechanics behind critical hits to and from bases. I have noticed them many many times, and often wondered how it works, since bases do not have a listed scan/cloak.
Without the scan and cloak angle for bases I would make the assumption that Dan would have set a flat rate for both outcomes in the equation with no variation between players regardless of strength possibly at a reasonably low rate like 5% or 10% chance of either. But that is just an assumption.

Well it was an ill considered idea in the first place.
If I logged a large enough number of hits i could figure out a rough estimate of the rate, but that seems like a LOOOOOOOOT of work by hand: automated methods of finding that out are against ToS so it would be a long data collection slog.

Quickest way would to try it yourself and estimate a rough percentage, longest way is waiting several months of begging, pleading, whining, crying to Dan for the calculations (In other words, good luck ).
