Trade Hub is Trading Hub, it's when your planet gets +10% production to all resources for a week. So it's a random planetary event. :)

Thought I'd put this info here since i have got all drops from the Chuhn merchants now

Starting / Finishing Rank: 1119 / 1147
Starting / Finishing NPC Count: 140,857 / 149,794

Number of Drops as per item are as follows

Chuhn Stem Bolts x7
Eye of Andromeda x4
Fornax Jewel x4
Triangulum Sparkmatter x7

So, assuming one places a Chuhn Trading Post on a planet with a Trade Hub event going on, is the bonus the trading post gets permanent, or does it only last as long as the event does?

WTH WHY WHY is a merchant hiding from traders kind of seems bad for business???? I NPC a lot and have found ZERO of these new NPC's and tlaking to others in our legion who live on the game they have seen 4 or 5 max? I know they are rare but Queens are extremely rare and I see way more of them! This spawn rate utterly sucks!!!!

That thread has some discussion on the spawn rates of the elusive Chuhn Merchants. Several people there report spawn rates of 1 in 300 to 400 or so. Myself and one other have reported spawn rates much higher. (1 in 485 and also 1 in over 600).

Currently my spawn rate of them is about equal to Troop Carriers. It does take a LOT of NPCing to find these. Killing well into the thousands and even 10's of thousands of npcs to find a fair number of merchants.

I've actually found more troop carriers than I have the seasonal npc's... spawn rate could be increased some

I agree. That's the same for me as well. I've found more Troop Carriers than Chuhn too.

The seasonals are definitely lower spawn than other things. I have taken a VR to 12x , completed damos drones and found tons of labs , etc. while finding 1 hutch, 1 eye, 1 spanner, 4 bolts, 2 jewels and 1 of the other. That said - I had same exp with the scruuge last year. Finding tons of some of them, but not all 6.

I like it. I think people expect far too much greatness from a seasonal event, as well as not wanting to put in the effort to NPC for hours and hours. The items aren't just going to land in your lap, nor should they. :)

If anything next year is when this seasonal will be much worse, because i'll already have the modules, i won't need stem bolts(i don't need them now to be honest), and so i'm left with 2/6 drops that are useful.
