General Information

Members of the notorious Hallows Bane have come out of hiding, terrorizing unsuspecting victims. Ships that are lucky enough to find them are asked to put an end to their activities.

During the Hallows Bane intrusion, the following temporary effects apply to the entire Galaxy:
Invasions and colonizations cost 20% less in credits.
Successful invasions will sometimes trigger the 'Bane Coercion' event on the planet.
Some invasion-boosting and enemy planet artifacts cost additional energy to use.

A group of %Race extremists have defected and joined forces with the Hallows Bane. We believe the Bane may be using some kind of device to influence various factions within the government.

Cost: 90 energy, 1 Spy Uplink Chassis

Rewards: 120 experience, 1 Bane Psybeacon
Risks: Chance of a Psybeacon controlling your ship for 30 minutes (lowering attack against non-player enemies by 40%)

Their tactics are evolving.

What makes you think the Hallows Bane are using a device?
Most of the ships that were affected reported approaching and engaging an oddly shaped sphere of Bane origin. We're sure that they are the culprit.

What do we know about them so far?
Not much. Its broadcasting signal is very complex. Try to find and capture as many as you can - we need to develop a countermeasure.

Can the signals be detected and tracked?
Only at close range. The Hallows Bane appear to be careful when placing them.

I imagine that our ship will also be susceptible to their influence?
That is a risk, yes... but we cannot wait... and I don't see any other alternative.

Was in my post. Even if someone had 0 invades, they can manage to sneak 8 Psybeacons after 15 invades ( granted that don't fail a single day)

So my Dark Arbalest currently displays as giving 204 attack and actually does give that value,, even though hovering indicates its supposed to give 90 atk and 80 cloak...Im also definitely getting more than 80 cloak when I equip one. Glitch?

Are these ranked based?



Yes, these are rank based. From the wiki...http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/ ... ed_Weapons

If you receive one of the above weapons after you kill a Bane Revenant or Bane Eidolon, the version you receive is based on your rank at the time of receiving it. Ships of Rank 1-49 receive the standard version, ships of Rank 50-149 receive the charged version, and ships of Rank 150 and above randomly receive either the Overcharged or Hypercharged version. The MegaCharged Bane Emitter is only dropped by Bane Reavers (ranks 500+) and the TerrorCharged Bane Emitter is only dropped by Bane Phantoms (ranks 1,000+). Once received, these weapons may be installed/used at any time, but they can only be received during the Hallows Bane events. If you haven't got one, just wait until Halloween this year for another chance!

This does not include the 2014 Bane Weapon Drop though. So I'm not sure what rank you have to be to get that.

On a side note, next year he should release a Bane Banshee NPC. :)
